Product Description
DX-60 is the result of Optex's advanced research with PIR and microwave technology. DX-60 improves security by supervising PIR and Microwave signals and reporting either PIR masking or microwave failure. Microwave shaping creates an 85° pattern which 'fits' rooms better, simplifies installation, and reduces microwave spillage. "Quad Zone Logic" PIR technology provides 'Pet Immunity' while still maintaining high catch. Simple jumper control for Short Range or Long Range detection and 3 bright LEDs make installation easy, and Optex's New Spherical Lens creates a superior aesthetic appearance.
The DX-60 reduces one of the biggest weak points of microwave detection - the penetration of walls and unwanted detection of movement outside the coverage area. In addition, the detection area has uniform sensitivity which minimizes false activations caused by spot movement in the detection area, i.e. small animals.
Passive Infrared Technology - Patented Quad Zone Logic with New Spherical Lens By utilizing Optex Advanced Optical Technology, the DX-60 creates evenly distributed sensitivity throughout the detection area. Accurate focus creates even sensitivity and high resistance to spot temperature changes. Other detectors may have inconsistent detection creating hot spots (false alarm can occur) and dead spots (no detection). Re-Enforced with Electronic Analysis, Detection Area Size Configuration - "Microwave Area Shaping" and "Quad Zone Logic"
Microwave Area can be easily shaped to fit the desired area and have even sensitivity. Quad Zone Logic in the PIR provides high tolerance to spot temperature changes and movements caused by sunlight small animals, heating vents, moving curtains and vibrations caused by big machinery thus avoiding false alarms. Passive Infrared does not detect through walls and is never affected by movement beyond these boundaries Microwave Area Shaping allows for simple two step adjustment, reducing installation hassle. By making minor adjustments to the Long or Short Range Selector and the Low, Medium, High Sensitivity Volume, the microwave can be shaped to match room size. When microwave operation fails, DX-60 automatically switches to single PIR operation in Enhanced Reliability Mode avoiding Missed Alarms. When PIR Detection fails, due to an object blocking the field of view of the detector, a trouble output generates via the * alarm output selectable option and LED Display. (*DX-60PLUS has separate Relay Output).
